Dutch Team conducts first outdoor-practice
The Netherlands National Softball Team conducted its first outdoor practice session of the season in Monday, March 3.
After a day of travel and a day of resting, the players returned to the field on Day 3 of the first trip of the year to the USA.
As it was the first outdoor-activity after a long indoor-period, players had to accustom to the field conditions.
The practice was held from 10 AM until 12 on a field, which had a soft surface, but the team worked hard.
As it was a clear and warm day with temperatures around 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) and the first outdoor-activity of the year, the mood in the squad was very good.
After practice, the team had a late lunch at Gattitown.
Hereafter, the players were off to do some shopping or just enjoy themselves.
From Tuesday, the team will play almost daily.
Starting at 11 AM local time (5 PM Dutch time), the team will play its first of 25 games in the coming 20 days.
The first opponent is the team of Loyola Marymount University.
