Career
2013 --- On June 27, Karin is one of the 17 players named to the roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for this years European Championship in the Czech Republic --- On July 7, in the opening game of the European Championship vs. Spain, Karin hits a 2-run homerun --- In the regular season, Karin hits .460 (52-for-113) with 10 doubles, two triples and 10 homeruns, scoring 39 runs and batting in 65 --- He ten homeruns are a new single-season record and with her RBI's, she leads the league --- With Sparks Haarlem, Karin participates in the European Cup-tournament in Prague (Czech Republic) --- In October, Karin is one of 23 players named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2014 season.

2012 --- In March, Karin participates with the Dutch National Team in the American Tour to Tennessee and Florida --- On June 13, Karin is 2-for-3 with a double and a homerun and has our RBI's against the Dutch Juniors in the third game of the Holland Tour --- On June 8, Karin is one of 17 players named to the roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for participation in the World Cup of Softball (Oklahoma City, USA), a series of games in Seattle (USA) and the World Championship in Whitehorse (Canada) --- On June 26, Karen plays in her 25th international game for the Dutch Team in the first exhibition game against Australia, preceeding the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City --- On June 28, Karin is 2-for-4 and has two RBI's against Canada in the opening game of the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City --- The next day, Karin is 3-for-4, including a 2-run homerun, scores once and has five RBI's in the third game of the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City against Puerto Rico --- On July 7, Karin hits 4-for-4 with two doubles and a homerun, scores once and has four RBI's in the fourth exhibition game against Washington LadyHawks Gold during a training camp in Seattle --- On July 15, Karin is 2-for-2 with a double, scores once and has two RBI's in a 9-2 win against the Czech Republic in the third game of the World Championship in Whitehorse (Canada) --- In the regular season, Karin hits .435 with 47 basehits, including 10 doubles and nine homeruns, she scores 32 runs and has 37 runs batted in --- With her nine homeruns, she hits the most in the league, sharing first place with American Courtney Bures of Olympia Haarlem --- The nine homeruns is a new single-season record, which is also broken by Ashli Holland of Terrasvogels, who finishes with seven --- In her first season with Sparks Haarlem, she reaches the Holland Series, but then the team is dethroned by Alcmaria Victrix --- In October, Karin is one of 31 players named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2013 season.

2011 --- In March, Karin participates with the Dutch National Team in the American Tour to Florida and Tennessee --- On March 5, Karin hits a solo-homerun vs. the University of Louisiana-Monroe --- On March 8, she hits 3-for-5, including a solo-homerun, scores twice and has an RBI vs. St. John's University --- On March 13, Karin is 2-for-2 with an RBI vs. the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay --- On May 15, Karin has three RBI's in the first double-header of the Holland Tour vs. Holland All Stars at De Bilt --- In June, Karin participates with the Dutch National Team in the Torneo 150 Anni Unitá d'Italia in Bollate (Italy) and therefore is a member of the team when it plays the 100th game in history against Italy on June 2 --- In this game, Karin is 2-for-3 and scores a run --- Two days later, on June 4, Karin is 2-for-4 with a double in the second game during the tournament vs. Italy --- On July 3, in the first game of a double-header (which was part of the Holland Tour) against the National Team of Argentina, Karin is 1-for-2, walks and scores once --- On July 13, Karin is one of the 17 players named to the roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for this years European Championship in Italy --- On July 31, Karin is 2-for-2, including a double, and has one RBI vs. Ukraine in the opening game of the European Championship in Italy --- On August 2, she hits a 3-run homerun, is 2-for-3, scores twice and has four RBI's vs. Denmark --- Later in August, Karin wins the European Cup-tournament in Caserta (Italy) with Tex Town Tigers --- After the final, she is named the Most Valuable Player of the event --- In the regular season, Karin hits .267, scores six runs and leads her team Tex Town Tigers with 15 RBI's and two homeruns --- In October, Karin is one of 21 players named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2012 season --- Before the transfer-period ends on November 1, Karin decides to switch from Tex Town Tigers to Sparks Haarlem for the 2012 season.

2010 --- In January, Karin participates with the National squad (playing for Team Blue) in the International Indoor Cup in Schiedam (Netherlands) with her team finishing in second place --- On January 18, Karin is one of 21 players named to the preliminary roster for this years World Championships --- On April 5, Karin wins the award for Best Hitter of the 3-day international Mastenbroek Tournament in Enschede --- On May 23, she has two RBI's, while being the fill-in catcher for the Foreign All Star Team in the second game vs. the Dutch National Team --- Also on May 23, Karin represents Tex Town Tigers in the Homerun Contest during the Softball Gala 2010 in Haarlem --- On May 26, Karin is one of the three players who is cut for the final roster for the World Championship in Venezuela, but remains on the list as an alternate --- In August, Karin participates in the European Cup Tournament in Haarlem (Netherlands) with Tex Town Tigers, which for the first time in history captures this Cup --- In the regular season, Karin hits .337 for Tex Town Tigers, with seven doubles and two homeruns, scores 11 runs and leads the team with 20 RBI's, playing in 32 games --- With her two homeruns, Karin shares first place in the league with Noémi Boekel and Chantal Versluis --- On October 31, Karin is one of 24 players to be named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2011 season.

2009 --- On May 3, Karin makes her debut in the Dutch National Softball Team in the second game of the Holland Tour vs. Euro Stars. Karin hits a triple in her first at bat, then adds a homerun in her second time at bat, scoring two runs and contributing with two RBI's --- On May 10, Karin scores twice in the second game vs. Centrals --- On May 27, Karin is one of the 17 players who is named to the final roster for the Dutch National Team to participate in this years international events --- On May 31, Karin is 2-for-4, including a double, and has two RBI's in the opener vs. Robur '58 --- On June 14, Karin is 2-for-2 with a double and has an RBI in the opener of a double-header against the Foreign All Stars --- On June 17, Karin is 2-for-3 with an RBI in Game Two of the double-header vs. Kansas Express USA --- On June 19, Karin makes her international debut in the game against Great Britain --- On June 21, Karin doubles and has three RBI's in the second game vs. Great Britain --- On July 6, Karin is 1-for-2 with an RBI in the first victory vs. Venezuela, during the Canada Cup --- On July 8, Karin is 2-for-4 with a double, scores once and has two RBI's in the second victory vs. Venezuela, during the Canada Cup --- On July 25, Karin has two RBI's in an exhibition game vs. Great Britain prior the European Championships in Valencia --- On July 27, Karin hits an RBI-double as pinch-hitter in the game vs. France, the opener of the European Championships in Valencia --- On July 28, Karin is 3-for-4, scores a run and has two RBI's in the game vs. Austria during the European Championships --- On July 30, Karin bats in the lone (and winning) run in the tie-break in the game vs. Italy during the European Championships --- On August 1, Karin is a member of the Dutch Team which brings the European title back to the Netherlands for the first time in 19 years --- Two weeks later, Karin participates with Tex Town Tigers in the European Cup Tournament in Legnano (Italy), which is her first EC-event --- In the regular season, Karin scores nine runs and has 10 runs batted in, while hitting one of her team's four homeruns. Defensively, she is errorless in 227 fielding chances --- Karin again reaches the Holland Series with Tex Town Tigers, which wins its second consecutive Dutch championship title.

2008 --- In her first season playing for Tex Town Tigers, Karin bats above .300 for the first time in her career, finishing with a .310 batting average and 26 basehits, while scoring 13 runs --- After reaching the Holland Series, Tex Town Tigers becomes the first team from the east of the country to win the Dutch championship title --- In August, Karin travels to China to attend the softball-tournament of the Olympic Games. One of her interests is taking sports-photos and she takes a lot in Beijing. Some of the photos participated in the Photo Contest of the International Softball Federation and on December 8, her photo of leaping Dutch centerfielder Saskia Kosterink was named the Overall Winner --- On December 11, Karin is one of 28 players being named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Team for 2009 and is invited to start practice in January.

2007 --- In the Spring of this year, Karin is a member of the softball-team of Chipola College, which captures the national title in the NJCAA Division I National Championship, after the team first had captured the title in the State Tournament --- After returning from the States, Karin rejoins Euro Stars and plays in 21 games --- At Enschede, Karin participates in the World Junior Championships with the Dutch National Junior Team, which for the first time in history reaches the play-offs --- When the season ends, Karin decides to play for Tex Town Tigers in the 2008 season.

2006 --- At the end of this season, Karin is going to the USA to study and play at Chipola College in Florida, together with Euro Stars-teammate Areke Spel.

2005 --- Karin again travels to the Antilles, participating in the Kingdom Games, which this year is held on Curaçao --- In her second big league-season, Karin almost reaches .300 for the first time, finishing with a .290 batting average and 29 basehits.

2004 --- With the Dutch Junior Team, Karin captures the European title in France --- Playing for Euro Stars, Karin makes her debut in the Dutch big league. Playing in 29 games, she registers 14 basehits.

2003 --- Karin gets her first international experiences when she is selected for the Dutch National Junior Team and travels to Aruba to participate in the Kingdom Games. She also participates later in the year in the World Junior Championships in China.

Family
KARIN is the daughter of Jaap and Maaike Tuk and has one brother, Rick, who played baseball for Tex Town Tigers in the First Division through the 2009 season. Rick now focuses on a career as a softball umpire.
