CARACAS (Venezuela) / MADRID (Spain) / SCHIPHOL (Netherlands) -
The Dutch National Softball Team returned home safely on Sunday, July 4 after a long flight from Caracas and a stop-over in Madrid (Spain), which started on Saturday-evening.
The players and staff were welcomed by family-members after their successful World Championship in Venezuela, where the team reached the play-offs for the first time in 16 years and finished in seventh place.
All members of the Dutch delegation were given flowers by KNBSB Boardmember Caroline Theunissen and after being re-united with their family, it was off to home.
Coming weekend, it is back to action for the players, as the regular season will resume.
In August, most players will have another international appointment, as they will participate in the tournaments for the European Cups, which will be held in the city of Haarlem (Netherlands).
In September, the Dutch National Team will get together again to close the season with some additional meetings, as well as participating in a clinic in Rosmalen.
