Last practice; packing to travel
NIEUWEGEIN (Neth.) - The Dutch National Softball Team conducted its last practice session today at the site of Nieuwegein Diamonds in Nieuwegein.
It was a day full of logistics and final preparations, as the team will leave Wednesday for Canada where it will participates in the Canada Cup.
This annual event opens next Saturday with the Netherlands playing its first game against the USA.
After a light and short practice, it was time for the players and staff to pack all the equipment, but also the latest clothing was distributed, as well as individual bags.
As all equipment was stored, the bags were weighed to comply with airline regulations.
Then, everyone enjoyed a fine meal at the clubhouse of the Diamonds.
On behalf of the team Judith and Piet (who celebrated his birthday today) were thanked for all their work the last months.
Judith and Piet hosted the team and worked hard to assist everyone during the practice and game days, provided the meals during the three weekdays the team was in Nieuwegein and did much more.
They received a signed teamphoto for all the work they did.
Next on the agenda for the Dutch National Softball Team is the flight to Vancouver (Canada) on Wednesday.

Media Officer Marco Stoovelaar worked on inventarising and packing the equipment
