Naming her as Favorite Actress are National Team-players Anouk van den Heuvel, Petra van Heijst and Rebecca Soumeru, Juniors Shomayra Franka, Eliza Rikkelman, Marisèla de Wind and Cindy van der Zanden, Flex Coaches Nathalie Franssen and Mireille Gill'ard, Media Officer Marco Stoovelaar and former National Team-players Noémi Boekel, Lynn Geertman, Nina van Huissteden, Judith van Kampen, Ellen Venker and Kristi de Vries.

Two actors and two actresses listed as Favorite Actor or Actress by current or former players and staffmembers were nominated for an Oscar.

They were Penélope Cruz (nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Nine), who is the Favorite Actress of Junior Eva Voortman, Meryl Streep (nominated as Best Actress for her role in Julie & Julia), who is the Favorite Actress of National Team-player Ginger de Weert and Juniors Sophie Bugter, Miranda van der Ham and Inge Tishauser, George Clooney (nominated as Best Actor for his role in Up in the Air), who is the Favorite Actor of Junior Eva Voortman and Morgan Freeman (nominated as Best Actor for his role in Invictus), the Favorite Actor of National Team-players Virginie Anneveld, Dagmar Bloeming, Nathalie Gosewehr, Anouk van den Heuvel, Saskia Kosterink, Rebecca Soumeru and Anne Vlietstra, Junior Miranda van der Ham, Media Officer Marco Stoovelaar and former player Lynn Geertman. All were also nominated for the Golden Globe in January.

The winners of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, or Oscars, were announced on Sunday, March 7 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Oscar for Best Actor went to Jeff Bridges for his role in Crazy Heart. Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and Mo'Nique (Precious was the Best Supporting Actress.

Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) became the first female director in history to win the Oscar for Best Director. The Hurt Locker also won the Oscar for Best Motion Picture. Up was the Best Animated Feature.

'The Hurt Locker' was the most successful movie of the evening, winning six of the nine Oscars it was nominated for. With this, it defeated early favorite 'Avatar', which also was nominated for nine awards, but won only three. 'Avatar' is the most successful movie ever.
