Career
2011 --- After being at home for the holidays, on January 8 Nathalie returns to the USA to start her second season in the softball-team of Oklahoma City University --- In March, Nathalie participates with the Dutch National Team in part of the the American Tour to Florida and Tennessee --- In her second season playing for Oklahoma City University, Nathalie plays in 56 games and leads the team in batting average (.402) and runs batted in (64), she scores 48 runs, hits 68 basehits with 17 homeruns, the ninth highest in the NAIA --- At the end of the season, Nathalie is named to four different All Star Teams --- In June, Nathalie participates with the Dutch National Team in the Torneo 150 Anni Unitá d'Italia in Bollate (Italy) and therefore is a member of the team when it plays the 100th game in history against Italy on June 2 --- During the tournament, Nathalie hits a 3-run double on June 3 vs. the Czech All Stars --- On July 3, in the first game of a double-header (which was part of the Holland Tour) against the National Team of Argentina, Nathalie is 2-for-2, scores once and has three RBI --- On July 13, Nathalie is one of the 17 players named to the roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for this years European Championship in Italy --- On July 31, Nathalie is 1-for-1, scores a run and has two RBI's vs. Ukraine in the opening game of the European Championship in Italy --- The next day, she hit a 2-run homerun and scores twice against Spain --- On August 2, Nathalie hits a 2-run double and scores a run vs. Denmark --- On August 5, in the semi-final vs. Italy, Nathalie plays in her 50th international game for the Dutch National Team --- Later in August, Nathalie participates with Sparks Haarlem in the European Cup-tournament in Caserta (Italy) --- Before the European Cup-tournament ends, Nathalie travels back to Oklahoma City for her third season with the Stars --- Between her return and departure from and to the USA, Nathalie appears in 10 regular season-games for Sparks Haarlem, hitting .321, with nine hits (one homerun), scores four runs and has five RBI's --- In October, Nathalie is one of 21 players named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2012 season --- On November 11, during the KNBSB Stars Awards Gala, Nathalie is awarded the Egbert van der Sluis Memorial Trophy for the Best Dutch International under 23.
2010 --- On January 18, Nathalie is one of 21 players named to the preliminary roster for this years World Championships --- On May 26, Nathalie is one of 16 players who is named to the final roster for the World Championship in Venezuela --- In her American season, Nathalie plays in 58 games and hits .380, scores 29 runs, hits 62 basehits including nine homeruns and is second-best with 47 RBI's --- After returning from her season in Oklahoma City (USA) towards the end of May, Nathalie re-joins the National Team, as well as her club-team Sparks Haarlem --- In August, Nathalie participates in the Cup Winners Cup Tournament in Haarlem (Netherlands) with Sparks Haarlem, which wins the Cup after a come-from-behind victory in the last inning, scoring six runs to win 7-6 --- After completion of the event, Nathalie leaves again for the USA to continue her study and playing at Oklahoma City University --- In the regular season, Nathalie hits .371, playing in 14 games for Sparks Haarlem, with 13 basehits, 10 runs and 10 runs batted in --- On October 31, Nathalie is one of 24 players to be named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team for the 2011 season.
2009 --- On January 10, Nathalie travels to the USA to re-join the Lady Vols, the softball-team of John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois (USA), where she also played in the Fall-season of 2007, before being added to the Dutch National Team in November of that year --- On May 10, Nathalie returns home after completion of the season with the Lady Vols, where she batted .344, scored 25 runs, had 22 basehits, including six doubles, three triples and three homeruns and had 15 runs batted in --- On May 17, Nathalie plays in her first game of the national team during the Holland Tour since returning from the USA and goes 1-for-3 in the second game vs. Gryphons --- Nathalie collects three basehits, scores twice and has two RBI's in the double-header vs. Twins on May 24 --- Nathalie has one basehit and one RBI in the opening game on May 27, then goes 2-for-3, including a double, scores twice and has three RBI's in the second game of the double-header against the Foreign All Stars --- On May 27, Nathalie is one of the 17 players who is named to the final roster for the Dutch National Team to participate in this years international events --- In the double-header vs. Robur '58 on May 31, Nathalie is 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI in the opener, then is 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI's in the second game --- On June 21, Nathalie doubles, scores twice and has three RBI's in the game vs. Great Britain --- On July 16, Nathalie is 2-for-3, scores once and has an RBI in the first game vs. Italy, which is the opener of the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City --- On July 20, Nathalie has three RBI's in the second game vs. Italy during the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City --- On July 30, Nathalie has two singles in the tie-break victory vs. Great Britain during the European Championships --- On August 1, Nathalie singles, scores and has an RBI in the final of the European Championships vs. Great Britain --- On August 1, Nathalie is a member of the Dutch Team which brings the European title back to the Netherlands for the first time in 19 years --- Two weeks later, Nathalie participates with Sparks Haarlem in the CupWinners Tournament in Parma (Italy) --- On August 21, one day before this event ends, Nathalie flies back home, as she travels to the USA on August 23 to return to Oklahoma City, where she will study and play the coming months at Oklahoma City University --- In the regular season, she played in 16 games between her American college-seasons in Illinois and Oklahoma.
2008 --- On May 30, in the second game of the second American Tour vs. Philadelphia Force, Nathalie is 2-for-3, including a double and scores once --- On June 13, she is 2-for-2 with a walk in the second game vs. Rockford Thunder --- In the opening game of the Holland Tour, Nathalie singles in a run in a 5-1 win vs. Terrasvogels --- On July 14, Nathalie is named to the roster for the Olympic Games --- In July 26, Nathalie plays her first official international game when she enters the match-up vs. Japan in the second game of the Tri-Nation Tournament during the Japan Tour --- Seven days later, she singles and scores the first run in the exhibition game vs. Tohoku Fukushi University, which closes the trip --- On August 12, Nathalie makes her Olympic debut, as she plays in the opening game of the Olympic Games vs. host China --- In the regular season, her first with Sparks Haarlem, Nathalie bats .296 and leads her team with 22 RBI's, which gives her a third place in the league. With Sparks, she participates in the CupWinners Cup-tournament in Italy --- On December 11, Nathalie is one of 28 players being named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Team for 2009 and is invited to start practice in January.
2007 --- Nathalie makes her debut in the Dutch big league and immediately shows her presence as she hits .403 to win the league's batting crown --- In her first season on the highest level, playing for Tex Town Tigers, she scores 16 runs, has 31 basehits, including a homerun and has 17 RBI's --- After conclusion of the season, Nathalie plays in the Fall Season for the Lady Vols, the softball-team of John A. Logan College in Illinois (USA) --- In November, she is added to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Softball Team and therefore will miss the 2008 Spring-season with the Lady Vols in Illinois.
2005 --- After the European Championships for Cadets, Nathalie is named most valuable player of the event.
2004 --- During the European Championships for Juniors in France, Nathalie makes her international debut and wins the European title with her team.
2003 --- Playing for an All Star Team from the Enschede-region, Nathalie gets her first international experiences when she participates in the Senior League World Series in Kentucky (USA), which are staged annually by the Little League organization.
Family
NATHALIE is the daughter of Herman and Joke Timmermans.
