UTRECHT (Neth.) - Dutch National Softball Team Head Coach Craig Montvidas introduced his supporting staff before the start of the first indoor-practice on Tuesday, January 13 at Utrecht. A Business Manager, Team Manager and two Physical Therapists were named. The Coaching Staff will be completed at a later date.
A familiar name in the supporting staff is that of Paul Boonstra, who returns to the Dutch National Softball Team as its Team Manager after an one-and-a-half-year absence.
Paul served earlier as Business Manager of the national squad on two earlier occassions.
After handling the administration in 2001, he later was named Business Manager and remained with the team through September 2002.
He returned in 2006, but then stepped down after completion of the European Championships of 2007 in Dutch capital Amsterdam.
Paul was then succeeded by Caroline Theunissen, who handled the team in the Olympic year 2008.
And now Paul succeeds her again. As Team Manager, Paul will oversee all logistics and administration.
Rich Hooff will be the Business Manager in 2009.
Rich will oversee all financial affairs concerning the national squad.
Anouk Fermont and Sanne Oude Egberink will be the Physical Therapists of the team in 2009.
The two succeed Rob Oskam, who was with the team since early 2007.
Marco Stoovelaar will be the Media Officer of the team again in 2009 and keeps everyone informed through the official website of the National Team.
Marco was named Media Officer in September 2007.
André van Overbeek oversees the National Softball Team as Member of the Board of the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB).
André was named interim-Boardmember in September 2004, then was elected in March 2005.
