Coach Tracy returns home
Nederlandse tekst
ENSCHEDE (Neth.) - The Dutch National Softball Team added another practice session today, Sunday, December 13.
It not only marked the start of the team's seventh week indoors, it also was the last day that Coach Tracy Bunge was with the team and so players and staff said goodbye to the sympathetic American coach after completion of the practice session.
Today, the team practiced again in Sports Hall 'The HellHound' at Twente Air Base, which is the site for the Sunday-practices of the Dutch squad.
With the team again today to assist as Physical Therapist was Robby Soumeru, the father of pitcher Rebecca Soumeru.
Robby lives in closeby Oldenzaal and is with the team during the Sunday-practices.
After completion of the practice session, the players and staffmembers said goodbye to Tracy Bunge.
The American coach was with the squad for five weeks, assisting Head Coach Craig Montvidas during the absence of Coach Nancy Evans, who is recovering home in the USA after having a hamstring-surgery early November.
Tracy returns home on Monday, December 14.
To thank Tracy for her support and her detailed advices, the team had some gifts for her and then said goodbye with several hugs.
