SCHIEDAM (Neth.) - Team Blue, Team Orange and Team White, who are made up from the players on the roster of the Dutch National Softball Team, completed with five players of the Dutch Junior Softball Team, finished the 15th International Indoor Cup Tournament in style.
After not giving a run on the first two days of the event, the streak finally ended today.

Game 19: Team Orange vs. Team Blue

Pitcher Kirsten Scheele struckout eleven batters and gave up only two basehits (both to Karin Tuk) to raise her tournament-record to 4-0.

However, Karin would strand on third base. Karin's second hit was an one-out single in the seventh inning, but this time she was forced out on a following grounder.
Starting for Team Blue was Femke van Dusschoten, who saw three Team Orange-hitters reach base in the second inning.
With one out, Nadine Marinus was hit by a pitch, but then was caught stealing.
A walk and a single resulted in two more runners, but then a flyout ended the at bat.

After discussing the situation, the 3-man umpire crew deciced that the hit was valid, meaning Areke ended up on second base with her 2-run double.
