17th European Championship

The 17th European Championship this year will be held
in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region in Italy, which
includes the cities of Trieste, Udine and
Ronchi dei Legionari and is close to Venice.
The region borders Austria in the north, Slovenia in
the east and the Adriatic Sea in the south.

In the same area, the Olympic Qualifying Tournament was
organized in 2007, with the Dutch Team winning the final
vs. Italy to qualify for participation in the
2008 Olympic Games in Beijing (China).

The Pool Alignments are as follows:
A (Yellow): Croatia, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Sweden
B (Green): Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Ukraine
C (Blue): Austria, Bulgaria, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland
D (Purple): Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Poland
