Day 5: Another training session in the books
BERKELEY (California, USA) - After playing a almost 4-hour game yesterday, the team was back on the field on Sunday-morning for another training session at Levine-Fricke Field, the softball-field at the University of California at Berkeley. After the practice, the team was off for the day.
In today's session, there was attention for all aspects again. The pitchers were working on their control and different pitches, while the position players lined up serving as batters. Also, Head Coach Liz Kelly and her staff went through several defensive situations with the batters bringing the ball into play. And so, the third day of practice is now history. Tomorrow, more sessions will be conducted, before the second game of the trip is scheduled for next Tuesday. The Dutch National Softball Team then will face the University of California Golden Bears. And of course, you will find all details again on this site.
