2010 --- In January, Chantal participates with the National squad (playing for Team Blue) in the International Indoor Cup in Schiedam (Netherlands) with her team finishing in second place --- On January 18, Chantal is one of 21 players named to the preliminary roster for this years World Championships.
2009 --- Chantal changes her uniform number in the Dutch National Softball Team from 14 to 23, which last year was worn by Nina van Huissteden --- On May 3, during the opening game of the Holland Tour vs. Euro Stars, Chantal enters as a pinch-runner, then is 1-for-3 in the second game --- On May 6, Chantal hits an inside-the-park-homerun and scores twice in the second game against the Dutch Juniors --- On May 10, Chantal has two hits and scores a run in the second game vs. Centrals --- Chantal goes 2-for-3, scores twice and has an RBI in the second game vs. Gryphons on May 17 --- On May 27, Chantal is one of the 17 players who is named to the final roster for the Dutch National Team to participate in this years international events --- On July 8, Chantal hits the lone Dutch basehit in the second game vs. the USA, during the Canada Cup --- On July 16, Chantal singles and scores in the first game vs. Italy, which is the opener of the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City --- On July 20, Chantal scores twice and is one of four players to hit a homerun (2-run) in the second game vs. Italy during the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City, the others being Nathalie Gosewehr, Virginie Anneveld and Saskia Kosterink --- On July 27, Chantal is 2-for-2, scores twice and has two RBI's in the game vs. France, the opener of the European Championships in Valencia --- On August 1, Chantal is a member of the Dutch Team which brings the European title back to the Netherlands for the first time in 19 years --- After completion of the European Championships, Chantal is named the Team MVP of the Netherlands --- Two weeks later, Chantal participates with Sparks Haarlem in the CupWinners Cup Tournament in Parma (Italy) --- In the regular season, Chantal hits .260, scores 13 runs and has 10 runs batted in, while stealing 10 bases.
2008 --- On March 2, Chantal is 3-for-3, scores once and has one RBI in the second game vs. Chaminade University of Honolulu during the first American Tour of the Dutch National Team, which is part of the preparations for the Olympic Games in Beijing --- Is 2-for-2 on March 6 and scores twice in the game vs. Idaho State University during the Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament in Honolulu --- During the second American Trip, in the second game vs. the professional team of Rockford Thunder on June 13, Chantal singles and scores the first Dutch run, but the teams ends up shorthanded, 3-2 --- On July 13, during the third and final game of the Holland Tour, Chantal scores the fourth and last run as pinch-runner in a 4-0 shutout vs. the Holland All Stars --- The next day, she is one of the players, who are dropped from the roster for the Beijing Olympics --- With Sparks Haarlem, the speedy infielder participates in the Cup Winners Cup Tournament in Italy --- In the regular season, Chantal hits .358 to lead her team Sparks Haarlem, while scoring 20 run and batting in 14. She leads the league by stealing 27 bases in 27 attempts --- On December 11, Chantal is one of 28 players being named to the preliminary roster of the Dutch National Team for 2009 and is invited to start practice in January --- On December 20, Chantal wins the Egbert van der Sluis Memorial Trophy, which is handed annually to the best national team player under 23.
2007 --- On May 28, Chantal singles and scores as a pinch-hitter in the 15-0 win vs. Greece during the European Championships in Amsterdam (Netherlands) --- The next day, she delivers another pinch-hit single in the 12-3 victory vs. Germany --- In the regular season, Chantal hits .376, trailing only teammate Noémi Boekel for the team's lead. She also ranks in the top with 23 runs, 35 basehits and 17 RBI's.
2006 --- Chantal makes her debut in the Dutch National Team during the Canada Cup --- In her first year with Sparks Haarlem, Chantal increases her RBI-total to 11, scores 15 runs and hits .256 --- After the season, she wins the Bep van Beijmerwerdt Trophy for Most Talented Dutch Youth Player --- With Sparks Haarlem, she plays in her first of two European Cup Tournaments, finishing in second place in Bollate (Italy).
2005 --- In her last season with Birds, Chantal hits .270 and sets a career-high with 17 runs and nine RBI's.
2004 --- In her second big league-season, Chantal reaches the .300 mark, finishing with a .301 batting average.
2003 --- Chantal makes her debut in the Dutch big league, playing for Birds in Zoetermeer, hitting .244.
Family
CHANTAL is the daughter of Fred and Karin Versluis. Chantal has one brother, Maikel.
